SAINSBURY'S to sell multiple Netto stores

Following the announcement of a joint venture between Sainsbury’s and Dansk Supermarked at the beginning of the month, property consultants Wilkinson Williams and Colliers International have been instructed by Netto Limited to sell or re-let 18 sites, and are inviting offers by 5 August. Sainsbury’s opened its first Netto store in November 2014 in a bid to reclaim market share from German discounters Aldi and Lidl. It originally targeted retail parks for the chain and about half of the 16 stores are in retail parks.
